What am I purchasing?

When purchasing a product, you are not obtaining ownership of the sounds, presets, samples, MIDIs, or plugins within the product`s content. You are purchasing a license to use the product and its content within your musical compositions. The original creator of the product and its content will always remain the owner of the product and its content. 

Once you purchase a product, your license is non-transferable. Which means, the license is authorized only to the original purchaser. You are not permitted to share the purchased product and its content with others in any way. More details about this topic can be found in the License Agreement.

Can I use the sounds royalty-free?
Yes, all our sounds (synth presets, samples, MIDIs - including our demo packs) can be used royalty-free in your music production. Non-commercial and commercial as well, However, the usage of our sounds (synth presets, samples & MIDIs) to create sample libraries or content for virtual instruments is prohibited. Royalty-free use is only permitted to legal buyers of the products! More details about this topic can be found in the License Agreement.
What happens after I purchased a product?

Once your order has been processed successfully, you see an order confirmation page, which also displays the download link to your purchased product(s). At the same time, you will receive an order confirmation mail, which also includes the download link to the purchases. Sometimes this email can end up in the spam folder, so please check it if it looks like you haven't received the email

In case, you purchased something, while having a user account and are logged in, you have access to all your downloads in the dashboard of your user account.

Can I listen to the demos of the products before the purchase?

Yes, of course, nearly all products have audio demos displayed on their product pages. Mostly in the top area, you will find an audio player with the demo track for the product. Some products also feature additional demo tracks embedded as YouTube videos, and/or single preset demos in the lower area of the product page.

How do I know, if the product is compatible to my setup?

All products display the requirements in order to use the presets or plugins on their respective product page. In cases of plugins, the minimum requirement is displayed, including OS version, platform, and required disk space.

In cases of presets for software synthesizers, each product clearly displays which version, as a minimum, is required to load and use the presets. For hardware synthesizers, the specific models and OS versions will be also displayed. Generally it`s always recommended to use the latest version of your software synthesizer / latest OS version of your hardware synthesizer, to use the presets.

How do I unzip my purchased products?

All our products are delivered digitally as ZIP file(s). 

To unzip the file on Windows OS, simply right-click on the ZIP file and select "Extract All". Alternatively, you can of course use other software solutions like 7-Zip. 

On MacOS, you need to double-click the ZIP file, and it will automatically extract the content of the zipped archive to the same location, in which the ZIP file is located. 

In rare cases, a downloaded ZIP file can appear as "corrupt" and can`t be extracted. This can be caused by some minimal connection losses during the download. Even some small lost bytes due to a wireless internet connection can be the cause for that. 

In case, a downloaded ZIP file can`t be extracted, it`s recommended to re-download the file again, this can solve the issue in most cases. Alternative the use of specific software for unpacking archive file formats can be also helpful - like 7-Zip or WinRar.

Which payment options can be used?

The online store provides the following payment methods:
- Paypal
- Credit cards (via Stripe - American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa)
- ApplePay & GooglePay (via Stripe)

Additional payment options for the future could follow, depending on the user feedback and needs.

Do I need a user account to purchase a product?

A user account is not mandatory, for purchasing products in the store. You have the free choice to purchase products with or without a user account. However, it`s highly recommended to do it, with a user account. Due to the benefits of having all purchases and downloads in one place and accessible at any time.

How do I install the synth presets?

The majority of the products come with a detailed installation guide. Some products don`t need this - like sample packs, which just need to be unzipped in order to be usable.

As an additional resource to installing the products, especially in specific cases depending on the format like e.g. Kontakt instruments with snapshots, the install instructions, and other helpful articles can be found in the help desk area.

Can I get a refund?
Due to the nature of digital goods, refunds are in general not possible. But in some specific situations, this can be possible, like: - Your Paypal/bank account or credit card was illegally debited (should be a proven fraud) - If your product is proven to be defective or not as described (please read the product description and software requirements carefully) For more details on this topic, please read our declared refund policy.
Are educational discounts available?

Currently, there are no specific discounts for students or educators within the audio industry available.

Where can I purchase CFA-Sound products?

All our products are primarily available through this website and our exclusive distribution partner Resonance Sound. Additionally, you can find our products on several other authorized marketplaces and shops. A detailed list of them can be found on the About page.
