Sound Design Service
Parallel to preset packs for synthesizers, instruments, and samples – which are available here and at partner shops, CFA-Sound also offers a custom sound design service. This is of course primarily aimed at developers of synthesizers, plugins, and sample libraries. Starting from creating sounds for expansion or factory libraries for new synthesizers, optionally also up to other needed content like wavetables, multi-sample packages, or extra assets UI design. Many things are possible – if you are interested, just write me a message via the contact form.
Simply because no matter how innovative or good a synthesizer product may be in terms of its layout and features, it still needs a high-quality selection of sounds to show users the possibilities of the tool and, above all, to give users the sounds that inspire them in their everyday musical life. Music genres are constantly changing and evolving, so it is all the more important to give users of the synthesizer/tool the sounds they need to stay up to date with their progress and music production.

Many of the possibilities are of course always dependent on what is needed on your part – so I will always be open to interest or possible collaborations. NDA Work
Some of the sound design service work I have done for other companies cannot be presented publicly due to NDA (non-disclosure agreements) contracts. This is often normal practice in the industry, many companies attach importance to it, for example so that competitors do not know who created the content. However, I can say that some very well-known tools/plugins contain presets from CFA-Sound, without you perhaps knowing it.
Xfer Serum 2 - Factory Presets
The brand-new Xfer Serum 2 synthesizer also includes factory presets designed by CFA-Sound, just like the first version of Serum. And of course, it's something special for me to be part of the very selective pool of sound designers who contributed sounds to the factory, since Serum is the most widely used and known synthesizer on the market. D16 Punchbox Bass Drum Synthesizer
The popular bass drum synthesizer "PunchBox" is a joint cooperation between D16 Group, Sounds of Revolution and CFA-Sound. Started in 2014, designing the concept with all 3 parties, and creating the core content and presets together with SOR, PunchBox is now a highly awarded plugin and creative toolbox for music producers.
Xfer Serum - Factory Presets
CFA-Sound contributed some presets for Steve Duda`s outstanding Xfer Serum synthesizer. A short demo video of several factory presets you can see and hear on my Youtube channel.
Loopmasters Patchworx 05
One of the first preset packs within Loopmaster`s own exclusive "Patchworx" series. The contributed preset pack contained 64 sounds for Sylenth1 alongside with 64 additional MIDIs, focused on modern trance and EDM music.
FXpansion D-CAM SynthSquad Artist Presets Vol.2
As part of the "Artist Presets Vol.2" collection for FXpansion`s D-CAM Synth Squad, CFA-Sound contributed 32 trance and EDM presets for the synthesizer bundle with Strobe, Cypher, and Fusor.
MOTU MachFive V3 - Factory Presets
Design of factory samples and presets for the MOTU MachFive V3 sampler/workstation. Some of the presets can also be found in various extensions (e.g. Biosphere) for the UVI Workstation V2.
Camel Audio Alchemy - Factory Presets & Sound Expansions
In addition to presets for the factory content, I also created and contributed sounds to several expansions (Cinematic, Planet Earth, Dance & Trance) for the well-known Alchemy sampler by Camel Audio. Today Alchemy sampler/workstation is now an included instrument within Apple Logic ProX, after the acquisition of Camel Audio by Apple.
Adam Szabo JP6K - Factory Presets
32 sounds by CFA-Sound are included in the Factory of Adam Szabo`s JP6K synthesizer, a detailed emulation of the famous JP-8000 supersaw. A short demo of these patches can be found on our Youtube channel. There is also a regular soundset for JP6K by CFA-Sound available: Experience JP6K
KV331 Synthmaster 2.0 - Factory Presets
A few years ago, I created 2 soundbanks as part of the factory sound content for the Synthmaster 2.0 by KV331 Audio. Each soundbank contained 50 presets. One was focused on sounds for ambient and chillout music, the other for modern trance music.
SOR Revolution Q soundbank
In 2007, shortly before the launch of CFA-Sound as an independent sound label, I created a sound bank for Sounds of Revolution (SOR) for the Waldorf Q hardware synthesizer, called "Revolution Q". This included 100 presets that also worked for the Waldorf MicroQ and Terratec Complex VST synth.
Vengeance Sound - DiscoveryPro & Wavestation Soundsets
The first footstep into the world of sound design was the creation of 2 custom soundsets for Vengeance Sound. Way before the launch of CFA-Sound as a label or even thinking about it. The "Vengeance Discovery Pro Vol.2" contained 64 trance and EDM presets, and "Vengeance Digital Atmosphere for Korg Wavestation" over 100 ambient presets for the Korg Wavestation VST synthesizer. Both soundsets are not available anymore.
Showcase - UI Design:
DC-Zero VIntage Synth for NI Kontakt
Dedicated to an iconic vintage analog synth, the DC-Zero instrument for NI Kontakt is so to say a scripted synthesizer within Kontakt`s modular and flexible engine with custom KSP script, quality presets and as to be seen, a dual view UI inspired by vintage synthesizer and outboard gear, with an overall layout similar to typical modular rack systems.
GRIP Valve Drive Compressor AU/VST Plugin
The UI for the GRIP Valve Drive Compressor plugin represents the visual vibe of both core elements: a classic VCA compressor and a German vintage tube drive unit. Combining a modern look and vintage vibes with character in one UI, with a pleasant easy-to-use workflow as result.
MIMIC - Vanguard 2 Skins
The MIMIC package is a collection of presets for the Vanguard 2 by reFX, as well as 15 custom-designed UI themes. Inspired by iconic synthesizers from the past and modern times. Designed for maximal scale and rich on details, they enhance the "look and feel" for many users of this synth plugin.
